Through Their Eyes: The World Around Them

Have you ever wondered how your child experiences the world around them? In a world built for adults, how can we make space for the children in our lives? In this workshop, we’ll explore a core Montessori idea: the prepared environment. You’ll learn what it means to thoughtfully design a space with the child in mind, and how accessibility, order, and child-sized materials invite young children to move freely, make choices, and take part in the world around them. We’ll also look at how small changes to adult spaces can open the door to independence and meaningful participation for even the youngest children. This workshop is designed for families of children under 5, and it’s a wonderful chance to expand your toolkit as you grow your child's independence and skills! We’d love to welcome you!
Through Their Eyes: The World Within Them

What is really happening inside your child’s mind as they explore, repeat, climb, pour, and ask “why?” for the hundredth time? In this workshop, we’ll look at early childhood through the lens of Montessori and explore the natural developmental tendencies that drive young children to learn. You’ll discover how children make sense of the world around them, why certain behaviors show up at certain ages, and how to engage your child in developmentally appropriate ways that honor their curiosity and invite deeper exploration. Join us to gain a fresh understanding of your child’s inner world and practical ways to nurture their growth at home, and to learn more about how our preschool supports children on this journey. This workshop is for families of children under 5, and we can’t wait to see you there!
